Fliegenbein Collection

Julius T. Kalmar originally conceived the floor lamp Fliegenbein in 1957, as a pairing of slender and voluminous shapes that complement any modern living environment.

Designed by Garth Roberts, the freestanding armature comprises of two bent metal tubes that merge into a single shaft, and a pleated silken shade suspends near the top of this column. Three matte finishes accentuate the shape of the legs, which also feature Kalmar Werkstätten’s signature wheat-colored electrical cord.
